St. Andrews Fire Department Celebrates 200 years as a Fire Service in St. Andrews!
We would like to pass on some great information that we received from the Assistant Deputy Chief McKinley of the Fredericton Fire Department. While researching their history for their 200th anniversary, he found the original Act appointing Fire Wards (wardens) in the town of Fredericton... and St. Andrews. The act was passed on March 22, 1817. So this means we are celebrating 200 years as a fire service in St. Andrews.

2nd Annual Golf Tournament - Operation Off-Road
On January 8th, 2014, the St Andrews Fire Department launched “Operation Off-Road”, its largest fundraising campaign in a decade. The purpose of this fundraiser was to raise money for the purchase of a four passenger, all-terrain vehicle that is specially designed for off-road rescues, forest fires, large grass fires or for transporting first responders and patients to and from locations without road access. This year we have purchased the side by side, and are now continuing our efforts towards a rescue sked that would safely hold a stretcher, and a Paramedic while transporting to an ambulance, and a new enclosed trailer to hold everything.
In support of this exciting initiative the Dept held its 2nd Annual St Andrews Fire Dept. Golf Tournament at the Algonquin Golf Course on August 27th, 2016. Thank you to all the volunteers and players for making this event a huge success! We are very close to our goal of purchasing a new enclosed trailer!
